Social Workers, MFCC, LMFT and Professional Counselors:

We are licensed by the National Board of Certified Counselors (Provider # 6154) and the National Association of Social Workers (Provider #886422049) and by most states that require continuing education, ceus. All of our courses are approved by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (License #PCE2926) the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling (CE Provider #:50-4672). We are licensed under the name Vista Continuing Education on the BBS web site.

CA BBS Interns: Our courses are approved for pre-licensed professionals which includes BBS approval. The following courses are provided to meet the BBS requirements for ASW and MFT interns ceus.

• Child Abuse Assessment and Reporting (7 hrs/units)
• Human Sexuality (10 hrs/units)
• Alcoholism and Chemical Substance Abuse Dependency (15hrs/units)
• Spousal/Partner Abuse (We offer Domestic Violence - Spousal Abuse (7 hours/units) and Intimate Partner Abuse (8 hours/units ) to meet this requirement.
• Aging and Long Term Care (10 hrs)

NASW Approval:  (Provider # 886422049) The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) approves individual courses only.   The following is a list of courses that we offer that have been approved by the National Association of Social Workers.  Law and Ethics, Domestic Violence, Ethics in Social Work, Hiv/Aids Ceus, Substance Abuse, Models of Supervision, Clinical Supervision, Child Sexual Abuse, Eating Disorders Ceus and Cross-Cultural Counseling Ceus.

We are recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors to offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors. We adhere to NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines. (Provider #6154)  The NBCC approval is accepted in 39 states for several professional licenses. 

Psychologist: Vista Continuing Education is accredited by the American Psychological Association to provide online continuing education courses. The accredited courses are located on our newest site www.CeUnit.com. You must register and take the courses at CeUnit to receive APA credit.

State laws and rules are constantly changing.  Please check with your states board to verify the types of courses allowed.  We are not responsible for Boards that may not accept specific continuing education courses.  If you have updated information to report, please email us at VistaCeu@Verizon.net

Nurses: We are licensed by the State of California Board of Registered Nursing to provide continuing education courses (License #CEP13992). (Respiratory Board - please read below) We are also licensed by the Florida Board of Nursing (Provider # 50-4672). Other licensing boards include the Florida Board of Nursing - Certified Nursing Assistants (Provider # 50-4672) and the District of Columbia Board of Nursing. Our ceus courses are approved for all states that require continuing education and accept courses approved by another states licensing board.  All states, with a few exceptions accept continuing education approved by another states board.  Since state requirements change, check with your state board to make sure of your requirements. 

California Respiratory Board - Each respiratory care practitioner (RCP) is required to complete 15 hours of approved continuing education (CE) every 2 years. At least two-thirds of the required CE hours shall be directly related to clinical practice. Our ceus courses are accepted through our continuing education licensure as follows: Any entity approved or accredited by the California Board of Registered Nursing.

Physical Therapist - Please check with your board to make sure our courses are accepted. Each course unit offered equals one clock hour. (1CE(Unit) = 1 Clock Hour)

The National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) provides a forum for family researchers, educators, and practitioners to share in the development and dissemination of knowledge about families and family relationships, establishes professional standards, and works to promote family well-being. Vista Continuing Education is an approved CE provider for the National Council on Family Relations for Certified Family Life Educators Ceus.(NCFR Provider #3989).

*Michigan Social Workers: The Michigan Board of Social Work will accept ceus courses approved by providers that are licensed by other State Boards. We are licensed by both the Florida and California Social Work Boards. You are limited to 10 on-line learning ceus hours.
